Well, ladies and gentlemen, exactly three years ago, I had a 72-hour lightning trip to London for a special weekend with fan friends and a fantastic evening of music at The Tabernacle London in Notting Hill with the one and only Damian Lewis. It was such a night with our Ginger Elvis rocking on the stage and off – he made time for everyone, VIPs and fans alike, after the gig.So please come join me in the beautiful and inspiring music hall that is The Tabernacle London, and live or re-live (if you were lucky enough to be there) every single detail from that glorious evening… And don’t get surprised that I am talking about A Spy Among Friends and The Radleys as Damian’s upcoming projects. They were upcoming projects three years ago and I haven’t changed a word in my original write-up .

I was very lucky to live it on Damian’s Mission Creep Tour. As I’m having serious Damian Lewis gig withdrawals these days, the live EP gives me my gig fix! And in celebration of the live EP release, and the first anniversary of the most amazing, wildest, craziest gig at Band on the Wall in Manchester, I would like to go back to last fall and re-visit and re-live the gigs in Brighton, Manchester and Leeds.

Damian, his new beard and his brilliant band will be on the road the next couple of weeks taking their music to eight different UK cities in the second part of Damian’s ‘Mission Creep’ UK tour. 2 long flights. 3 intercity trains. 1 private car service from Brighton to Manchester due to national train strike. 1 ultra-crazy taxi cab ride in soaking rain in Manchester where our driver drives on the pavement saying it is his “special move”! And, ladies and gentlemen, a group of crazy groupies, or in Damian’s kind words “crazy front row ladies” have completed a three day travel to his gigs in Brighton, Manchester, and Leeds in the middle of a national train strike. So, similar to the postal carrier’s motto, our motto goes like:
“Neither rain, nor distance, nor strikes, nor crazy cab drivers shall keep the Damian Lewis groupies from the gigs!”
