I have news!

So… I sat down and wrote a book 🙂 And, I mean, I knew it was happening but I felt that it was really happening when I held the book in my hands!

Billions Season 5 – Part II Official Trailer: Expect the Unexpected

First things first: I hope everyone has been vaccinated and doing well!

Our earlier “On the Horizon in 2021: Billions Season 5 Episodes 8 – 12” post came out of our own thoughts based on what we have seen in Billions Season 5 – Part I. Now that we have had “I Believe in Myself” and “Trust Me” teasers as well as the official trailer for Billions Season 5 – Part II, I have revised my expectations, wishes and fantasies and am ready to talk about what may come our favorite characters’ way in the rest of the season.

Well, we know that they edit trailers in a way so they do not give away much but a taste of what is coming. Still, I cannot help dive deep into the trailer, dissect it, try to put the pieces together and ultimately have fun! As he sits on the floor of his childhood room, a place where he thought he would never set foot again, Bobby shares with Wendy a story – this is not the entire story but only a glimpse into a very painful childhood –  about how it was back then. Fan Fun Movie of the Month: The Silent Storm

Today we travel back to Damian Lewis in The Silent Storm. I wrote about Norman Harris, probably the most romantic Damian Lewis character here. And as I was thinking about kind and caring Norman, I was also thinking about Damian’s versatility that he does not have a “screen persona” and he can play any character that comes his way. And I asked myself a question: What Damian Lewis character is the anti-thesis of Norman Harris? Well, the answer came to me in the form of the stern Presbyterian minister Balor McNeil.

Have you seen The Silent Storm yet?

The Silent Storm is slow. It is heavy. It is intense. And, lucky me, that is exactly how I like my movies. So the movie, with powerful performances by two seasoned actors (Damian Lewis and Andrea Riseborough) and a brilliant new comer (Ross Anderson) coupled with the stunning island scenery and psalms sung a capella speaks to me just right. And here is my take on the movie, without any major spoilers, studying Damian’s character more than anything else. Continue reading “Fan Fun Movie of the Month: The Silent Storm”
