As we can’t wait for Damian to drop a single and make an announcement about his second album, today’s Throwback Thursday is about a fantastic evening at Hoxton Hall in March 2023 with Damian and his brilliant band. Enjoy!
Trust is hard to come by. Honesty is in short supply. Trump is back on Twitter… This song is about secrets, lies, and spies…

The feedback has been fantastic since we launched Damian Lewis’s Song of the Week series back in July. It seems that the fandom has really been enjoying the deep dives into the personal stories behind Damian’s songs. So, a BIG thank you for reading! If you missed the previous posts, you can catch up with them here.
Today, we spotlight “Never Judge A Man By His Umbrella,” a spy-themed song that Damian wrote for his debut album, Mission Creep.
“Jazz is a broad church. That’s why we chose a Tabernacle. Place of residence. Place of meeting. Tent of congregation. Tent of meeting.”

Well, ladies and gentlemen, exactly three years ago, I had a 72-hour lightning trip to London for a special weekend with fan friends and a fantastic evening of music at The Tabernacle London in Notting Hill with the one and only Damian Lewis. It was such a night with our Ginger Elvis rocking on the stage and off – he made time for everyone, VIPs and fans alike, after the gig.So please come join me in the beautiful and inspiring music hall that is The Tabernacle London, and live or re-live (if you were lucky enough to be there) every single detail from that glorious evening… And don’t get surprised that I am talking about A Spy Among Friends and The Radleys as Damian’s upcoming projects. They were upcoming projects three years ago and I haven’t changed a word in my original write-up .
As we can’t wait for Damian to return to stage with his guitar in the fall, we’re revisiting his gig at the beautiful Union Chapel in London in July 2023. Enjoy!
Well, ladies and gentlemen, London conquest is complete! Having conquered the South (Omeara), the West (The Tabernacle) and the East (Hoxton Hall), Damian Lewis and his fabulous band headed to Union Chapel for their biggest gig to date. And they gave us an evening of musical feast at a magical venue! So please come join me at Union Chapel and live or re-live (if you were lucky enough to be there) every single detail from that glorious evening.
If you have been following this blog for some time, you certainly know about my obsession with Homeland and Brody in particular. And so you probably think this post is yet another one about my all-time favorite fictional character…
Well, you’re wrong! 🙂
This post is about Damian Lewis and My Homeland – the country that I was born and raised in: Turkey. I have been inspired to write this post in London in August 2022 when Damian signed the set list I lifted at his first live music gig in Turkish:
