These Are a Few of My Favorite Things About Damian’s Gigs

At the Sweet Chaos album-launch shows in June, a few people told me they had bought tickets after reading my posts about Damian’s earlier gigs. I was so flattered! Writing these diaries lets me share evenings I love with people who couldn’t be there. To hear that they had also encouraged someone to go and experience the music themselves made me very happy.

I’ve been to 16 of Damian’s gigs—23 if you count the acoustic sets. Yes, I love the guy. Yes, I’m biased. But I wouldn’t keep boarding trains, booking hotel rooms, and crossing the Atlantic on a red-eye flight if I weren’t having so much fun!

There have been train strikes, soaking rain, very little sleep, and even a lost passport. There have also been wonderful songs, brilliant musicians, old friends, new friends, and evenings that stayed with me long after I got home. Throwback Thursday to Damian Lewis’ First Ever Gig at Omeara London

I feel extremely privileged to have been a part of Damian’s fantastic first ever gig in London four years ago. Then I was very lucky to attend  many other magical music gigs with Damian and his brilliant band but it is very special to know that I was there at the very beginning of this thrilling musical adventure. Throwback Thursday to Damian Lewis at The Tabernacle London

Well, ladies and gentlemen, exactly three years ago, I had a 72-hour lightning trip to London for a special weekend with fan friends and a fantastic evening of music at The Tabernacle London in Notting Hill with the one and only Damian Lewis. It was such a night with our Ginger Elvis rocking on the stage and off – he made time for everyone, VIPs and fans alike, after the gig.So please come join me in the beautiful and inspiring  music hall that is The Tabernacle London, and live or re-live (if you were lucky  enough to be there) every single detail from that glorious evening… And don’t get surprised that I am talking about A Spy Among Friends and The Radleys as Damian’s upcoming projects. They were upcoming projects three years ago and I haven’t changed a word in my original write-up .
