As Homeland Season 8, the last season of the show in which I “discovered” Damian Lewis, is fast approaching, we continue our tribute to Nicholas Brody, a character we have loved and still miss dearly!

I was inspired to write this particular post thanks to Tbkwrm’s inspiring lovely fan fiction in which she imagined Jess and Brody’s wedding day! It is no secret we adore these love birds and we are extremely pleased to end the year, exactly like we did in 2015, 2016, 2017,  and 2018 with our favorite Damian & Helen moments of 2019!

Well, it is obviously not easy to be two ridiculously talented and busy actors living together and raising a family. I remember Damian telling us at Cheltenham Literature Festival that the problem never goes away:

“When you’re two actors living together, you’re always asked to do work away from your home, so you just have to decide which ones are important enough to go and do away from home and try to spend the rest of the time together.”

Top Damian Lewis Moments 2019:
Liverpool Wins the UEFA Champions League!

When asked about what he watches on TV at Times Talks London back in 2014, Damian first talks about the usual suspects including Breaking Bad, Mad Men and Game of Thrones and then adds that on top of his recording list is ALWAYS Match of the Day. And many thanks go to Bookworm for reminding me of a Homeland Fun Fact about Match of the Day! Remember the scene in Homeland Pilot where Carrie notices Brody’s almost jazz-like finger tapping…

…it turns out Damian is finger tapping to Match of the Day tune there. You can hear the story from the man himself on the Commentary for the Pilot on Homeland Season 1 DVD and even hear Damian humming the tune for Claire!

The man you see in the picture above is Howard Davies. He is a tax adviser in Cefn Fforest, a small Welsh town where the community has gone through hard times since the mining industry collapsed in the area. Howard worked for the biggest tax firm on the planet for 15 years, got sick of it, resigned and did his own thing for a while but it did not work very well. He is a middle-aged man who wants to get a bit more out of life.

Top Damian Lewis Moments 2019: Cure EB

Well, most of you know Damian Lewis is a proud patron of Cure EB.

The kids that are born with Recessive Dystropic Epidermolysis Bullosa (RDEB) or EB for short lack the protein that holds their skin together. They have extremely fragile skin that they are sometimes called “butterfly children.” Lots of activities we take for granted as easy routines in our daily lives are a struggle for them. Can you imagine a day where your dressing up takes up to two hours and eating and drinking cause blisters in your mouth and throat? These kids have to deal with this kind of pain every single day.
