Fan Fun with Damian Lewis is five years old today!
Here we are, a bunch of inspired fans, 1826 days, 1,017 blog posts and over 1.7 million views from 221 countries later… absolutely thrilled and totally beaming about how far we have come!
I vividly remember the conversation I had with Lewisto as I was trying to decide, in the last weeks of 2014, whether it would be worth keeping an online fan diary about Damian Lewis. Lewisto told me he knew I would do a fantastic job but I should do it only if I believed I could make a commitment for two years. Continue reading “Five Years with Damian Lewis”
It is no secret we adore these love birds and we are extremely pleased to end the year, exactly like we did in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 with our favorite Damian & Helen moments of 2019!
Well, it is obviously not easy to be two ridiculously talented and busy actors living together and raising a family. I remember Damian telling us at Cheltenham Literature Festival that the problem never goes away:
“When you’re two actors living together, you’re always asked to do work away from your home, so you just have to decide which ones are important enough to go and do away from home and try to spend the rest of the time together.”
One of Damian’s 2019 Top Moments has got to be playing Steve McQueen in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood. I mean, it was only mused about on this blog since 2015 here, here, here, and oh, here. And the cherry on top? The entire cast of OUATIH were nominated for a SAG Award for ‘Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.’ Find out how to watch the SAG Award ceremony live in 2020, here.
In this post I will walk you down memory lane with a review of the movie I saw no less than three times. Then I will share new information, from the UK premiere and photos to videos and interviews.
Here we go! Fasten your seatbelts, the movie has begun and it begins with opening credits.
Happy Labor Day! I am hoping most of you have had the chance to make that last beach trip before the summer ends while I have been sitting at my desk writing about Damian’s summer, the third in a row he has enjoyed fully!
Damian constantly worked all summers between 2011 while he was shooting Homeland to 2016 when they were starting the Billions shoot in summer. So, when asked by a fan at The Goat stage door back in May 2017 about what he would be doing between The Goat and Billions, whose shoot would not start until September, he responded promptly:
STOP. Do not read any further unless you can handle spoilers.
The day has finally come – the day when Damian Lewis plays Steve McQueen on the big screen. It’s July 26, 2019 and I’m planning my early escape from work to see an 11:00 a.m. showing of Once Upon a Time in…Hollywood. I purchased my $8.72 matinee ticket online on July 17 around 4:00 p.m. and it has been burning the proverbial hole in my pocket ever since.
