Hope everyone has been vaccinated and is doing well. As I am longing for the good old days that I think we all took for granted, I would love to take you back to more than two years ago, a very cold evening in December 2018, when I caught up with Damian Lewis at Bobby Axelrod’s Favorite Pizzeria. As I was thinking about Damian during England vs Denmark semi-final match in Euro 2020 last week, these pictures made my day. Damian was there at Wembley, with Gully and pals, to watch the game!
And in celebration of England becoming a finalist in a major football tournament for the first time in 55 years, our Throwback Thursday today takes us to Will, a football movie Damian made in 2011, that is about Liverpool playing in the 2005 Champions League Final Match in Istanbul, Turkey, yes, my native country! Have you seen Will yet? Continue reading “Throwback Thursday to Damian Lewis in Will – A Football Movie”

While Damian is currently in NYC filming the rest of Billions Season 5, this past year has been different than any other for him (and for us all)! There was no filming, no theatre, no cheering for his beloved Liverpool at Anfield, no live concert or summer festival. But the good news is that the pandemic let Damian spend more time than ever with his family, let him make a lot of time for charity and let those of us on the other side of the pond catch our favorite actor in a few fabulous virtual performances! So it is my pleasure today to revisit the year Damian spent home. Continue reading “Damian Lewis: A Year at Home – Part I”
