When we talked about Damianā€™s education, we talked about his early education at Ashdown House as well as his years at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. And we are now ready to dive into the five years, between ages 13-18, Damian spends at a school that has been around for almost six centuries and is very well-known for educating generations of aristocracy, prime ministers as well as the great George Orwell whose talking statue Damian voices šŸ™‚

Damian Lewis on Stage: Guildhall School of Music and Drama

Damian Lewis is making a wonderful comeback to West End stage in Edward Albee’s late masterpiece The Goat, or Who is Sylvia? at Theatre Royal Haymarket in March 2017! And this gives us a unique opportunity to walk through the memory lane and visit Damian’s stage work in its entirety. Happy World Theater Day: Damian Lewis on Stage

Happy World Theater Day! Let’sĀ celebrate this beautiful day dedicated to the wonderful art form that is theater withĀ a little walk down the memory lane toĀ live and re-live bits and pieces of Damian Lewis’ brilliantĀ stage career!

Damian discovers theater at a young age at Ashdown House, the boarding school he went at age eight:Ā “Each summer we staged a Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta. It was all so English. I used to sing the solos. I had a sweet treble voice.” HisĀ first ever roleĀ was a policeman The Pirates of Penzance, aĀ Gilbert and Sullivan.Ā And, by age 12, he had already played in 12 Gilbert and Sullivan Operettas.
