TOP Damian Lewis Moments 2024: London Sheep Drive

More than a thousand Freemen of the City ushered their sheep along a historic trading route on Sunday, September 29, 2024 to celebrate their medieval right to bring produce to market over the Thames without paying tolls.

Shepherd-for-the-day, Damian Lewis wore his grandfather’s wool coat from First World War and carried a shepherd’s crook as he herded the animals over Southwark Bridge in homage to a centuries-old tradition and in what he described as an “eccentric, very British, day.” Continue reading “TOP Damian Lewis Moments 2024: London Sheep Drive”

TOP Damian Lewis Moments 2024: UK Tour – Part II

‘We loved playing for all of you over the last few weeks. So much fun so much chat so many sweets so much love so many DLous so many burrito wraps so good so beautiful so long…..” —Damian Lewis

Damian has recently taken to Instagram to reflect on the second leg of his Mission Creep tour as above. And now that I reflect on my week long trip to the UK to follow Damian and the band from Stroud to Poole to Norwich to Cambridge, it was so many train rides, so many hotel rooms, so much gloomy British weather, so little sleep, and a lost passport for God’s sake! But it was all WORTH IT for the fantastic music, fun chats, much love and big laughs with people I adore! IT WAS THE BEST WEEK EVER! And this post is my way of saying thank you to Damian, Dave, Will, Kitty, Joe, Phil, Jamie, Amelie, Jack, Steve, Vicky and my old friends Tsvete and Monique and new friend Mel for making it a dream trip! And special thanks go to the U.S. Embassy in London for helping me.

TOP Damian Lewis Moments 2024: The Radleys

Well, it is THAT time of the year again! We have “Best of 2023” lists wherever we look: Best Books of 2023, Best Movies of 2023, Best Music of 2023 and so on… And, it is our utmost pleasure to jump on the “Best of” wagon with our TOP Damian Lewis Moments of 2023! As we take the last weeks of the year to revisit the year Damian has had personally and professionally, we very much hope to put a smile on your face.

We don’t intend to rank the top moments as many “Best of” lists do. We pick the moments in which, we believe, Damian shines as a brilliant actor, a fantastic musician, a wonderful storyteller, a true gentleman, a serious athlete or just a guy who knows to have a good time and bring them to you.

And the moment with which we kick off this year’s top moments series is Damian’s black comedy The Radleys that is about an average suburban family with the usual problems who happen to be vampires!

Throwback Thursday to Catching Up With Damian Lewis at Bobby Axelrod’s Favorite Pizzeria

This blog has had an interesting relationship with Billions. I launched the blog only two weeks before they started shooting the pilot in New York and I have been very lucky to catch up with Damian on the set once every season since. I do not know how many times you need to do a thing for it to become a tradition, but catching up with Damian on Billions set once a year certainly felt like a tradition. Wolf Hall: The Mirror and The Light – Episode 6 Light

“Valentines, sorceries, purple doublets. Any jury would laugh you out of the court. But then there won’t be a jury, will there?” – Thomas Cromwell

No jury. No trial. Only an interrogation team, perfectly convinced about Thomas Cromwell being a traitor, asking ridiculous questions. And an Act of Attainder which Cromwell himself also used against others.

Upon arresting him, Kingston brings Cromwell to the Tower, to the very room that Cromwell himself built for Anne Boleyn before her coronation. It is also the same room the late queen spent her days before her execution. Now, in  his solitary confinement, it is inevitable for Cromwell to reflect on his past. And characters from that past, varying from Anne Boleyn to Cardinal Wolsey to Dorothea to the French executioner haunt his dreams.
