Bobby Axelrod’s Hairstyles – Season 2

Welcome to part 2 of the Axelrod do’s!

Again, let me reiterate by saying I am not a hair stylist. I have no professional training whatsoever. I only know a few hair cut styles to speak of so my analysis is not accurate by any means. This post is meant to be sheer slapstick.

I wrote about Damian’s ginger locks and the evolution of his hair morphing into the Bobby Axelrod character in Billions, Season 1 here. As many fans have pointed out, Bobby’s fashion as well as his hairstyles from season one seem to fit different moments and moods. Yet season two was a little more difficult to differentiate. In fact, Bobby’s hair in season two seemed more streamlined and consistent. And as Holliedazzle pointed out, less hair product in season two makes for a more vibrant red.

So what does Bobby’s hair say about him, his life or his current situation and mood? Or does it? Let’s breakdown Bobby Axelrod’s hair evolution, season two. Continue reading “Bobby Axelrod’s Hairstyles – Season 2”

Billions: Tale of Two Marriages

As a drama about the high stakes financial world, Billions already stands apart from other dramas. It has none of the violence and very little of the sex of its counterparts in so-called “elite” cable. What it has instead is soapy twists and turns and a fair amount of serious relationship ins and outs. As I’ve said before, the show is written by folks who care about portraying marriage in all its complexity. And the Axelrods and Rhoades are both wonderfully complex in totally different ways.

Valentine’s Day comes but once a year, but marriage is forever. Or so they say! The Axelrod and Rhoades relationships embody the lovely messiness of marriage portrayed in often surprising ways. Here’s a look at these couplings so far, peppered, of course, by a healthy dose of speculation on what’s to come when Season 3 kicks off March 25 on Showtime. What we are looking forward to (and not so much) in Billions Season 3

Hello from the Trader’s Desk!

As we all eagerly anticipate Season 3 of our favorite show, “Billions“, we here at FanFun thought it would be interesting for us to share some of our thoughts on the upcoming season.

Bobby Axelrod’s Hairstyles – Season 1

Hello fandom, it’s me Gingersnap, the newest addition to the Fan Fun family. Technically I’ve been around as a fan of the blog and all the wonderful ladies who write for it for quite some time, around the time of Billions’ debut.  And here I am as a fellow blogger. Never saw that coming!

I stumbled upon Fan Fun with Damian Lewis while poking around on Instagram, which led to the blog, which led back to Facebook, which led more and more to Twitter.  Long story short, I have the Fan Fun blog and Damian himself to thank for the revival of my dead Twitter account from 2009. Everyday is a Damian hashtag day on my Twitter!

A little about me: I am a Management Analyst, part-time Adjunct Professor and Computer Software Consultant by day and Damian Lewis aficionado by night. And while you might see my blog posts on here from time to time, I spend most of my time as a contributor over at our sister website damian-lewis.com.  Damianista, Lewisto and I spent countless hours giving the sister site a complete overhaul, a face lift so to speak, from choosing a new design and the right photos for the header, to filling in missing media information for 2+ years. It did not seem like work though because I had so much fun doing it and I love posting the daily/weekly news about our favorite ginger and all he is up to!

Now, on to the blog post… Continue reading “Bobby Axelrod’s Hairstyles – Season 1”

Bobby Axelrod and Wendy Rhoades: A Special Relationship – Part IV

In case you missed Part III, it is here.

Wendy is back at Axe Capital with her “black magic” to influence minds and the first such mind she tries is Bobby. Bobby says Wendy is not comfortable being part of a plan that would destroy Sandicot. Wendy responds Bobby wants to talk about Sandicot just because he wants her to make him feel better about what he is about to do. Bobby may have a point, when turned down, thinking he may not be the only one putting his needs “above those of the good people of Sandicot” while Wendy may have a point, too, thinking Bobby does not have feelings when it comes to business. Their conversation feels like a thrilling rally between Nadal and Federer. Who do you think wins it? 😀 Continue reading “Bobby Axelrod and Wendy Rhoades: A Special Relationship – Part IV”
