Well, we all know NEXT for Damian Lewis is the NEW Showtime Drama Series Billions that he is headlining along with Paul Giamatti. Damian Lewis takes on the role of Bobby “Axe” Axelrod —  “a brilliant, ambitious hedge-fund king” and Paul Giamatti is Chuck Rhoades, “a hard-charging, whip-smart U.S. Attorney.” If this is not acting heaven, what is?

And, completing this acting heaven is some extraordinary talent, including Maggie Siff, Malin Akerman, David Costabile, Condola Rashad, Leonard Toby Moore, and Kelly Au Coin.

Brian Koppelman, David Levien and the New York Times’ columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin are writing the script and executive producing. Neil Burger, who is also an executive producer of the show, also directed the pilot episode.

This is what David Nevins, the President of Showtime, said about Billions when the network picked the show as a series. Continue reading “Billions Season 1 Teaser: Bobby Makes Money, Chuck Follows Bobby!”

Camel, elephant, or bison? Oh my.

An extended trailer for Queen of the Desert was released last week and I wouldn’t be the ‘forensic fan’ I am unless I did a frame by frame analysis for you, our dear readers.

Nicholas Brody has LEFT the building…

I bet, being a BIG Elvis fan, Damian would be proud of my title for this piece 🙂

Well, tell me, what could be a better day than combining a shopping trip to Ikea in Charlotte with a quick visit to my Homeland Mecca?

Homeland was our local TV show before they moved to South Africa for Season 4. They filmed the first three seasons mostly in Charlotte, a two-and-a-half hour drive from our house in Durham. And, I never visited the set thinking that they would always be there and I could visit one day… Oh, yes, shoot me!

The Brody house was at the core of Homeland in many ways in the first three seasons. It is the place where it all started and also ended in a way…

This is the place where Nicholas Brody started once again from scratch to bond with his wife and kids whom he had not known anymore… Continue reading “Nicholas Brody has LEFT the building…”
