Damian Lewis on Mark Rylance

We always talk about what we think about Damian Lewis and the characters he brings to life here, and I think, we have to leave the stage to Damian, from time to time, to see WHAT he thinks about… well, anything.

And why not start with what he thinks about his wonderful Wolf Hall co-star Mark Rylance?

When asked about his acting idols at the Hollywood Reporter Drama Actors Interview in 2012, Damian says:

I cannot imagine then how great it should feel for Damian to be STORMING Wolf Hall together with an actor he has so much respect for.  Continue reading “Damian Lewis on Mark Rylance”

These few weeks have been pure pleasure thanks to Wolf Hall! I just can’t stop thinking, talking and writing about it… And, it is just amazing that Wolf Hall inspires us in all different ways… So, it inspires me to write constantly… write about my own year-long Wolf Hall journey, about codpieces and the internet frenzy it has created, about Leading lady of Wolf Hall, in defense of “skinny” Henry, and many more… I am so full of ideas that I sometimes think my head will explode if I don’t sit down and type… Continue reading “Wolf Hall in Wool!”

Damianista is a Fashionista: Let’s talk about the Aquascutum Ad

We got the first hint during the filming of  “Our Kind of Traitor.”

In one of the scenes filmed on the banks of River Thames in London, Damian Lewis was dressed head to toe in Aquascutum.

Damian’s character, Hector Meredith wore the trademark raincoat, had thick rimmed glasses, and the Harrys of London for Aquascutum Julian Kudu Suede Dark Brown Desert Boots.

Happy International “Kiss a Ginger” Day!

Damian Lewis makes #4 in Hotforginger.com’s top 10 celebrity gingers of 2014!

“Damian Lewis is one of those actors who has been quietly putting himself about for a number of years and finally reached big-time recognition with his portrayal of Nicholas Brody in the television series Homeland.

But 2014 became a landmark year for the broody redhead after he was awarded the highly prestigious Order of the British Empire (OBE) by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (better known as Prince William and his wife Kate). Although he claimed to be “stupefied” by the award, it is sure to kick his career into an even higher gear next year.”

But I cannot help commenting on Woody Allen at #2! How come? I mean, some of his films are my all-time favorites, but honestly, I have never thought about Woody as a hot ginger 🙂

Anyway, on this very important international day, we should have the utmost responsibility to show love and attention to our favorite gingers… and we all know what to do 🙂

Where is Damian Lewis when we need him? 🙂
