The Fan Fun with Damian Lewis Holiday Gift Giving Guide 2018 Edition!

Holiday greetings to you all!  I am thrilled to return, once again, for an updated version of our annual gift giving guide. If you have a Damian Lewis fan in your life, this post is for YOU!

I am a burlesque performer, who specializes in holiday-themed acts.  Being known as the “Queen of Christmas”, I love merging my two worlds and bringing my love of the holiday season AND my love of all things Damian into one fun post.  It’s also a nice creative break for me, since I have been costuming and act developing for this season since August.  I’m putting down the tinsel and picking up the keyboard! It’s game time! Growing up I loved watching 70’s/80’s game shows. Remember these catch phrases?

“Come on down!”
“Survey says…”
“No whammies, no whammies, no whammies…and STOP!”
“I’d like to buy a vowel.”

And I’m in heaven with the recent revivals of Match Game, Celebrity Family Feud, and To Tell the Truth. I even DVR old Match Game episodes from time to time to watch my favorite panelists Brett Somers and Charles Nelson Reilly like I did when I watched reruns as a child.

If it’s a game, you can count me in! I often host Bunco round-robins, hold Whiz Spades tournaments, and throw Mexican Train Dominoes events.  I am no emcee–I have to be in on the action and playing.  Games are great fun, whether spending family time together or as an added bonus to your dinner party with friends. Even drinking games like Never Have I Ever and Marry, Shag Kill are hysterical to play.

Which brings me to Marry, Shag, Kill (our version is Marry, Shag, Banish to an Island).

Damian Lewis LOVES Singing Show Tunes! *UPDATED*

Well, Maggie, you have known Damian for a short while so it is okay you are surprised. Are we surprised at all? No way! And I would say Claire Danes would not be surprised, either 😀

This is what Claire tells Digital Spy about Damian:

“I don’t think most people know what a song-and-dance man he is. I suspect Damian’s dream gig would be a Broadway musical, and he would be amazing. He actually took tap-dancing lessons throughout the filming of Homeland’s second season.”

Damian Lewis as Steve McQueen Redux

Skipping my review of Billions Season 3, Episode 9, “Icebreaker” this week due to a late night spent with a passel of tweens at the Taylor Swift concert. My girl’s first big concert!

In lieu of my hoity toity ramblings on the meaning of it all, and since the show itself brought up the subject, here’s another revisit to a perennial favorite around here: Damian as Steve McQueen. Chances grow slimmer by the day that this project will ever get made, but it sure was nice to imagine! If you missed the connection to Billions, here’s a gif reminding you of Krakow and Bobby’s oh-so-adorable nicknames for each other.

Bullitt is the story of a San Francisco police lieutenant played by Steve McQueen. See, even Krakow sees a resemblance.
