When asked about what he is watching on TV at Times Talks London back in 2014, Damian first talks about the usual suspects including Breaking Bad, Mad Men and Game of Thrones and then adds that on top of his recording list is ALWAYS Match of the Day. Soccer Aid

Well, it’s THAT time of the year again! We have “Best of 2018” lists wherever we look: Best Books of 2018, Best Movies of 2018, Best Music of 2018 and so on… And, it is our utmost pleasure to jump on the “Best of” wagon with our TOP Damian Lewis Moments of 2018! As we take the last days of the year to revisit the wonderful year Damian has had personally and professionally, we very much hope to put a smile on your face. 

We don’t intend to rank the top moments as many “Best of” lists do. We pick the moments in which, we believe, Damian shines as a brilliant actor, a wonderful storyteller, a true gentleman, a serious athlete or just a guy who knows to have a good time and bring them to you.

We are kicking off TOP Damian Lewis moments 2018 today with Soccer Aid, a biennial British charity football game between two teams of celebrities and former professional players representing England and the Rest of the World. The event raises funds for UNICEF through ticket sales and public donations. Damian is no stranger to Soccer Aid that this year has marked his fourth appearance in the event. When we talked about Damian’s education, we talked about his early education at Ashdown House as well as his years at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. And we are now ready to dive into the five years, between ages 13-18, Damian spends at a school that has been around for almost six centuries and is very well-known for educating generations of aristocracy, prime ministers as well as the great George Orwell whose talking statue Damian voices 🙂

From Festivals to Sports to Charity: We Know What Damian Lewis Did This Summer :D

Happy Labor Day! It means this is the last chance for most of us to have one last long weekend before the summer ends. But it also means Billions Season 4 shoot is starting in New York, well, tomorrow!!!! It goes without saying we will follow the shoot to the best of our ability and write about our hopes, wishes and fantasies for Season 4 in the coming weeks and months.

But, today, we will talk about Damian’s summer, the second in a row he has enjoyed fully!

Damian constantly worked all summers between 2011 while he was shooting Homeland to 2016 when they were starting the Billions shoot in summer. TOP Damian Lewis Moments 2017: Damian’s Summer

You can ask, and rightly so, why we call Damian’s summer a Top Moment of the year. Well, because, Damian constantly worked during summer months in the last six years, Homeland 2011-2013, Wolf Hall 2014, and Billions 2015-2016. There were obviously weekend escapes, especially during Homeland shoot in North Carolina, which Helen makes sound wonderful in an interview with Evening Standard…

“We went to the Appalachian Mountains, skinny-dipping in the white waters, camping…”

…still, there was always work to come back to at the end of the weekend. The fact that they started shooting Billions Season 3 in September this year made it possible for our guy to fully enjoy the summer with his family. Thus, Summer of 2017 certainly qualifies as a top moment of the year!

I will never forget the moment at The Goat stage door back in May when a fan asked Damian about what he would be doing between The Goat and Billions. Damian responded promptly:

“I am going to have a summer.”
