Billions on Showtime, Season 7 Episode 3: Winston Dick Energy

The first Axe-less episode in the final season has three storylines that are light-hearted compared to those in the first two. We meet two new characters and welcome back two familiar faces. And a few lead characters doing soul-searching brings complexity that leave the viewers asking for more!

I do not know if Chuck’s first order of business as the U.S. Attorney of the SDNY has been to release Jock Jeffcoat from prison, but one of the first  is to offer a job to Ira as the two are eating a lavish breakfast from Russ & Daughters in some office at the SDNY. When Ira asks if they are having their breakfast in a random office so Chuck would not have any food smell in his office later, Chuck says the office is Ira’s if he wants to. Bobby Axelrod in Billions Season 6 *UPDATED*

If you are not living under a rock, you know that Damian Lewis announced on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert that he was returning to Billions! While we followed the clues and called it before everyone else that Damian would return to Billions, I believe the biggest clue we have had is Billions Season 6 itself. Here is what I wrote in my post back in April 2022.

“Now, the writers’ room not shying away from having characters mention Axe regularly makes me feel they do not intend for us to forget the character and they may even want us to compare and contrast him with Prince. And Bobby Axelrod still having a presence, if in spirit, in the show, gives me hope that he may show up again at some point in the next season – maybe not as a regular character but at least as a recurring one.”

BINGO! Variety has announced that Damian will be back for half of the new season – certainly a recurring role!

Well, ladies and gentlemen… WE TOTALLY CALLED IT! We followed the clues and called that Bobby Axelrod will return to Billions -maybe in a cameo, maybe in a recurring or regular appearance…and guess what ?!?! Damian Lewis was spotted filming Billions at the iconic Tower of London with Maggie Siff and David Costabile last Friday! No wonder Damian called us spies multiple times. Because we are 🙂

Advanced Warning: Don’t get so excited because we don’t have any hard evidence that Bobby Axelrod will return to Billions for Season 7.
