We reported earlier that Damian, Helen, and Matt Lucas had partnered with LEON Restaurants to feed NHS workers. John Vincent, the Chief Executive of Leon, said he hoped he could bring together entrepreneurs across the industry to harness their resources. Vincent told the Guardian, “We have launched FeedNHS because we have been inundated with direct requests from NHS staff and from their families, asking us to feed them. These amazing people need us. They are already going without sleep. If they also don’t have good food, they will burn out faster, function less well and become ill themselves.” Continue reading “Do It Like Damian Lewis and Helen McCrory: FeedNHS Campaign Raises £1M and Goes National!”
Trust No One
On Wednesday, April 8, 2020 fans were treated to the highly anticipated newly released promotional material for Billions season five. And like last year when I analyzed the poster art for season four here, I will analyze (and over analyze) season five all the same. Perhaps for the majority of us, though, waiting for this season’s poster art was bitter sweet as the entire world fights the invisible war. So I’m coming to you live from home during CoVid-19 quarantine.
But this guy’s tweets have been a substantial respite:
Are there spoilers, clues, and hints hidden in the poster art? I immediately began scrutinizing the photos for suggestions and significance. Music is such an integral part of the Billions landscape that we’ve seen concert t-shirts as part of the wardrobe. These past four seasons Bobby Axelrod has worn band shirts for Metallica, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, and Motörhead so it’s no surprise I’ve been rooting for Iron Maiden to make an appearance since season two! Okay rooting is not a strong enough word…I’ve sort of stalked Brian Koppleman about it, who is the co-creator of Billions:

Right now FeedNHS is serving 5,600 hot meals a day and they are hoping to go Nationwide! Help get healthy hot food directly to the front line heroes by making your donation to LEON here or the crowdfunding Just Giving page here, and watch their launch on Good Morning Britain below: Continue reading “Do It Like Damian Lewis and Helen McCrory: FeedNHS Campaign is up and running!”
A Baker’s Dozen…and Then Some
You should know by now from my ‘Chuck Seniorisms by the Dozen’ Part I and Part II that Charles Rhoades Senior is one of my favorite characters on Billions. He is played by the extraordinary actor Jeffrey DeMunn, who comes from a theatrical family no less! Buffalo News reported in March 2019 that DeMunn’s father Jim DeMunn and stepmother Betty Lutes DeMunn were two cardinal figures for many years in the local Buffalo theater.
