TOP Damian Lewis Moments 2018:
Soccer Aid

Well, it’s THAT time of the year again! We have “Best of 2018” lists wherever we look: Best Books of 2018, Best Movies of 2018, Best Music of 2018 and so on… And, it is our utmost pleasure to jump on the “Best of” wagon with our TOP Damian Lewis Moments of 2018! As we take the last days of the year to revisit the wonderful year Damian has had personally and professionally, we very much hope to put a smile on your face.

We don’t intend to rank the top moments as many “Best of” lists do. We pick the moments in which, we believe, Damian shines as a brilliant actor, a wonderful storyteller, a true gentleman, a serious athlete or just a guy who knows to have a good time and bring them to you.

We are kicking off TOP Damian Lewis moments 2018 today with Soccer Aid, a biennial British charity football game between two teams of celebrities and former professional players representing England and the Rest of the World. The event raises funds for UNICEF through ticket sales and public donations. Damian is no stranger to Soccer Aid that this year has marked his fourth appearance in the event. You can see his best moments from former games on Soccer Aid for Unicef You Tube Channel!

And our favorite guy playing his most favorite sport and raising funds for children in need all around the world makes this event a fantastic TOP moment of the year. Come re-live Soccer Aid 2018 with us!

The Announcement

Well, well, well, I believe what is happening in the short video below is why Damian hopes he is not marking Zidane this time around! And while it could be a disappointing moment, hey, Damian, how many people can say “Zizou nutmegged me!” 😀

Pre-game Festivities

Looking like a pro!

In the days leading up to the event, both England and Rest of the World squads attended a Soccer Aid Reception with PM Theresa May at 10 Downing Street where the PM promised to match the funds raised at the game.

You can see Damian getting a bit cheeky in this interview! 😀

Damian played in the first half of the match. And it was a true joy, for a football freak like me, to see him show off his skills on the football field even when it rained cats and dogs and some more!

Here is a few good moments from the match 🙂

And I am happy to report many viewers agree with me regarding Damian’s football skills!

I cannot agree more! The fact that this guy makes everything look so easy is annoying 😀

YES! YES! YES! The nutmeg was definitely my favorite moment of the match! Look at that Number 8!

When England wins 4-3 on penalties, this guy was super happy!

While he tweeted this could be his last Soccer Aid, we wish Damian many more years of knocking around that ball! Because we all know the football field is his happy place. Cheers! 🙂
