It is THAT time of the year again  While I have been living in the US for three decades now, I come back to my native Turkey every summer to visit my mom and my extended family. And here I am in Izmir, my hometown, at the moment enjoying my time with family, the sun, and the blue waters of the beautiful Aegean sea… aka my happiest place!

Our Top Songs From Damian Lewis’ Album Sweet Chaos

The album Sweet Chaos captures a more expansive and dynamic sound than Damian’s debut album Mission Creep. The album came together following a turning point collaboration with Guy Chambers, whose work helped reshape the project . The partnership brought a renewed clarity and focus to the material, with Damian crediting Chambers’ experience and honesty as pivotal to the album’s direction.

Written with live performance in mind, Sweet Chaos unfolds on a sweeping, cinematic scale, built around the idea of a life disrupted by chaos. Sweet Chaos feels immediate and immersive…an album that embraces unpredictability where moments of upheaval give way to something unexpectedly powerful, liberating, and transformative. Damian’s continued evolution as a songwriter is evident.

From the brooding, blues-infused opener ‘No Man’s Land’ to the swaggering pop-funk storytelling of ‘Pentonville Prison’ and the anthemic pull of ‘Traffic Jam,’ Sweet Chaos explores themes of love, loss, frustration, and release. ‘Leech’ is a sharp indie-rock critique of media intrusion, ‘Question Mark’ is haunting and intimate, and the closing track ‘Fix Me Up’ is electrifying.

I feel extremely privileged to have been a part of Damian’s fantastic first ever gig in London four years ago. Then I was very lucky to attend  many other magical music gigs with Damian and his brilliant band but it is very special to know that I was there at the very beginning of this thrilling musical adventure. Damian Lewis’ Song of the Week: King

Welcome back, everyone, to another Damian Lewis Song of the Week!

This week, we’re diving into King, possibly the coolest song Damian has ever written. So, let’s go!

Two years ago, when I sat down with Damian backstage, I asked him something I had been wondering for a while:

Would he ever write a song about Henry VIII?

At the time, he had just finished filming Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light, so it didn’t feel like a stretch. Damian had already shown how he could take stories and characters from his acting work and turn them into songs. Never Judge a Man by His Umbrella was inspired by A Spy Among Friends and the story of Kim Philby, while Fix Me Up—formerly Suck My Blood—came out of The Radleys.

Damian Lewis in The Runner: Unpacking the Official Trailer

One of the movies we’re most excited to see Damian Lewis in this year is The Runner, written by Mark Gibson, directed by Kevin Macdonald, and starring Gal Gadot in the lead role. The film was shot across London during the spring and summer of 2025.

Amazon MGM Studios has now released the official trailer and poster for The Runner. The psychological thriller will premiere globally on Prime Video on September 2, 2026.

When we published our first article about The Runner, we knew very little about Damian’s role. All we had were a plot synopsis, some intriguing photographs from the set, one magnificent mustache—and a great deal of enthusiasm for endless speculation!
