After a fabulous weekend in Lake Como, Damian Lewis shared one of those moments that made me stop and smile. Rhuigi Villaseñor, the fashion designer of street wear RHUDE, whom Damian was hanging out with over the weekend, texted Jay-Z to say they were sitting with “Brody from Homeland”…

Two Storms, Two Forecasts… and a Clock Ticking: Unpacking the “Pressure” Trailer(s) *UPDATED*

The official trailer for Damian Lewis’ upcoming WWII movie Pressure dropped early March. Of course I watched it the moment it was released. And then I watched it again. And again. And wrote a post unpacking it.

And then… we had a new trailer!

Very similar at first glance — but the more I watched it, the more I realized something important: the stakes feel sharper. The tension tighter. And most of all, Montgomery’s urgency comes through more clearly than ever.

Then I went back, watched it again (a few more times…), and decided it was time to revisit and update this unpacking — to look at the details, the emotions, the tension — and what this story is really building toward. What an Album Launch Show with Damian Lewis Actually Feels Like (and Why You Should Go)

Three years ago, when Damian Lewis released Mission Creep, he marked it with a very special kind of event at Rough Trade East in London: a short live set, a Q&A, and an album signing.

I was there.

And now that he’s doing a whole series of album launch shows again for Sweet Chaos—in Leeds, Liverpool, Marlborough, London, Brighton and Kingston, I keep thinking back to that night.

Because if you’ve never been to one of these… it’s not just a gig.

It’s something else.
