Our Countdown to Billions continues with a blog collective “Previously on Billions Season One”. Previously for episode 12 of Season One (only) will be up a couple of days before Season Two episode officially airs on Showtime on 19 February. However, you can now see the first episode of Season 2 on Showtime and the Billions YouTube channel.
Bobby arrives at Axe Hills on his expensive Bike to pick up eggs for breakfast. There is something about Bobby swapping his flashy bike for Tito’s very ordinary, but flower decorated bike that makes me love him even more.
Bobby is playing hardball with Wags. He’s not giving Wags anything but orders to ditch everything and the job of telling the investors as well.
Chuck is impatient and Team Chuck is feeling it because they have not been able to get very far as of yet in finding a way to get at Bill Stearn. Dale calling Chuck “dude” is a highlight. Kate steals the limelight, not for the last time this episode, by asking Bryan if he is still keeping emergency deodorant in his office. He says yes and asks her if she needs it. She looks at him pointedly and answers “no”.
Bobby is cooking breakfast for Lara and the kids. Chef Ryan jokingly asks if he is out of a job to which Bobby says that “breakfast is all he can handle” and Lara gives us some insight into her husband’s cooking skills by adding “yeah, trust me. We need you back”.
June is having a YumTime with her Publisher; Brian is having a YumTime with inter-agency co-operation; and Ben and Bobby are not having a YumTime with YumTime products because they suck. They are, however, apparently bonding a little as Axe learns a bit more about the newest Analyst at Axe Capital.
There is no awkward morning after chat between Bryan and Terri as they’re too busy talking about how Eastern District have nipped in and stole a march on the case against Axe.
Team Chuck or not Team Chuck, I imagine this scene gave a lot of satisfaction to anyone who has ever stepped in the shit people leave behind their dog’s ass, as Chuck gives an inconsiderate dog walker a piece of his mind whilst also giving us another glimpse of the no compromising guy from the Pilot.
Chuck also receives a call from Bryan advising that Eastern is trying to take over the case on Axe. He’s not impressed.
Hutch Bailey III arrives to a cheery tune for the daily grind, but his staff don’t seem overly pleased to see him, their false smiles disappearing as soon as he is past them. He seems reasonably happy even if no one else is…that is until he gets a phone call telling him Axe is up to a 4.9% stake in YumTime. Oh, now that smile is wiped off his face and he reacts like a petulant, spoilt child and manages to spill his coffee all over the place which apparently he cannot manage to clean up himself. I feel sorry for Cheryl.
A Billions fan fiction brought to you with a warning that there are slight spoilers, but not major ones.
**Disclaimer: Billions and its characters belong to Showtime. Not us. There is no profit or copy right infringement intended and absolutely no intention of saying that anyone from Billions stole our ideas in the unlikely event we accidently write something that comes to fruition. This is simply two fans having fun. **
Missing scene from the Pilot
Wendy pulls everything out from the bottom of the cabinet in her study until she finds what she is looking for. Exactly where she expected them to be, right at the back, out of sight and out of mind, but lurking there just as certain thoughts continuously lurk in her mind on a daily basis and from which she only gets respite while she is sleeping.
Gathering the notebooks, she stands up and makes her way to her desk leaving a mess behind her on the floor with the cabinet door open. It is definitely something she would give the kids into trouble for. Maybe moms are as bad as Doctors, but this is her sanctuary and she is free to be a hypocrite. Besides, it is fitting. It would be the perfect presentation of her mind at the moment.
Damianista’s note: Exclusively for Damian Lewis fans in Damian-land aka the UK! We know you are more than READY for Billions Episode 2 at 9pm on Sky Atlantic tonight and our Bookworm has a GREAT Episode 1 refresher here to get you fully in the mood! ENJOY!
‘Previously on Billions’…sadly this is no Damian Lewis voice over, but you could just pretend it is…
So ‘Previously on Billions’…
Chuck Rhoades likes someone else to be in control when it comes to his sex life.
BEATI QUI AMBULAN IN LEGE DOMINI (Blessed are those who walk in the law of the lord), adorns the front of the US Attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York. Chuck happens to be the US Attorney and at work he is the one in control and he has no love for either Spyros of the SEC (who waltzes into his office about suspected insider trading in relation to Pepsum Pharmaceuticals) or Bobby Aexlrod of Axe Capital.
Bobby Axelrod likes Pizza so much he wants to go in to partnership with the owner of his local Pizzeria who has suddenly found himself in a squeeze with his new Landlord.
Bobby Axelrod, Hedge Fund Manager wastes no time schooling two employees on the fact that it is important to know “the who” as well as the numbers in relation to what to do with Lumetherm.
It becomes obvious that the relationships between the two couples and all four leads are going to be vital. We give you the quadrangle and take a look at the highlights from the TCA which provide a lot of information and whets the appetite.
The more information we learn about the characters the more interesting they become and we take a look at the two worlds Bobby inhabits, in part 1and part 2.
