Throwback Thursday to Damian Lewis at Berlinale 2015

I am happy to say “Ich bin ein Berliner” for the last couple of days. And exactly like JaniaJania and I did in London, I cannot help follow Damian’s footsteps in Berlin… Honestly, it is not that I follow him, but he comes and finds me everywhere šŸ˜€ Look at that!

Then I standĀ in front of the gloriousĀ Brandenburg Gate that has become the symbol of unified Germany since 1989, and I do not just think of history, but also of Damian saying his hotel room had “a pretty amazing view of Brandenburg Gate” when he was in Berlin for the World Premiere of Queen of the DesertĀ at Berlinale 2015 šŸ˜€

So I look around and find out there is only one hotel looking over Brandenburg Gate: Damian should have stayed atĀ Hotel AdlonĀ during his visit to Berlin, the MOST famous and probably the most expensive hotel in the city with some interesting history. Ladies and Gentlemen, Queen of the Desert has finally arrived!

Queen of the Desert, the highly anticipated biopic about Gertrude Bell, a historian, novelist and member of the British Secret Service, directed by Werner Herzog, and starring Nicole Kidman, Damian Lewis, James Franco and Robert Pattinson has arrived at Berlinale 2015 complete with a photo shoot, press screening followed by a press conference with some FUNĀ moments and, of course, the Red Carpet. We were extremely lucky to be able to see both the Press Conference and the Red Carpet LIVE on the festivalĀ website.
