Claim: Damian Lewis is the Kindest
Human Being, Proof: See Below

This is a Damian Lewis Appreciation post. But it is also a scientific post. As a social scientist, I make a claim that Damian Lewis is the kindest human being anyone could meet and then prove it with solid evidence. Would you like to join me?

We got the first hint during the filming of  “Our Kind of Traitor.”

In one of the scenes filmed on the banks of River Thames in London, Damian Lewis was dressed head to toe in Aquascutum.

Damian’s character, Hector Meredith wore the trademark raincoat, had thick rimmed glasses, and the Harrys of London for Aquascutum Julian Kudu Suede Dark Brown Desert Boots. Continue reading “Throwback Thursday to Damian Lewis in Aquascutum Ad Campaign”

“He’s more Just Like Us than we are”: Take the Tube like Damian Lewis!

Hello everyone! While the original post is from more than three years ago, it is my pleasure to share it again when I notice a recent tweet about Damian taking the subway in NYC or the tube in London.

Enjoy!

Here is the most HILARIOUS conversation between Damian Lewis and Nick Grimshaw, the host of BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show that Damian joined last week. You can hear the radio bit (short version) here and (long version, starts at 01:33:48) here. BIG thanks go to JaniaJania for transcribing part of the conversation for me!

Off To The Races: A First Look at
Damian Lewis in Dream Horse

Dream’ took us to places you couldn’t even imagine. There we were going to Aintree for probably the greatest race on the planet. – Howard Davies

Howard Davies

The man you see in the picture above is Howard Davies. He is a tax adviser in Cefn Fforest, a small Welsh town where the community has gone through hard times since the mining industry collapsed in the area. Howard worked for the biggest tax firm on the planet for 15 years, got sick of it, resigned and did his own thing for a while but it did not work very well. He is a middle-aged man who wants to get a bit more out of life.

Okay but why are we suddenly interested in a tax adviser living in South Wales? Well, Howard Davies is the man Damian Lewis is bringing to life on screen in his upcoming movie Dream Horse. Continue reading “Off To The Races: A First Look at Damian Lewis in Dream Horse”

Damian Lewis Spy Wars: All You Want To Know About Damian’s First Factual TV Program

Damian Lewis:Spy Wars is premiering on History Channel UK tonight. We are sharing all you want to know about Damian’s first factual TV program once again and very much hope that Spy Wars will come to this side of the pond sooner than later! ENJOY!

“Spy craft is incredibly low-fi. There are exotic words like ‘dead drop’ and ‘brush pass’ but it literally means you waking into a supermarket with the same Sainsbury’s carrier bag as me and us leaving with each other’s bags – you’ve seen it in a thousand thriller movies.” – Damian Lewis

This post is long due. It has been months since we got word that Damian would set foot on the docu-drama territory with Damian Lewis: Spy Wars, a joint project between A+E Networks and Alaska TV. But then there was not much information except for a few promotion pictures and so it was not easy for me to put together a post to get you all in the mood. But now that the series is premiering on History Channel UK next month, A+E Networks and Royal Television Society (RTS) jointly held a special screening of Spy Wars followed by a Q&A with the brains behind the project and that a great friend attended the screening and recorded a good chunk of the Q & A for us, I am ready!
