The Fan Fun with Damian Lewis Holiday Gift Giving Guide 2020 Edition!

Holiday greetings to you all!  I am thrilled to return, once again, for an updated version of our annual gift giving guide. If you have a Damian Lewis fan in your life, this post is for YOU!

I am a burlesque performer, who specializes in holiday-themed acts.  Being known as the “Queen of Christmas”, I love merging my two worlds and bringing my love of the holiday season AND my love of all things Damian into one fun post.  This year is a little different than most, because live entertainment just isn’t safe yet.  I’m still staying busy and finding ways to live my best holiday life!

Characters Version

It’s game time! Growing up I loved watching 70’s/80’s game shows. Remember these catch phrases?

“Come on down!”
“Survey says…”
“No whammies, no whammies, no whammies…and STOP!”
“I’d like to buy a vowel.”

And I’m in heaven with the recent revivals of Match Game, Celebrity Family Feud, and To Tell the Truth. I even DVR old Match Game episodes from time to time to watch my favorite panelists Brett Somers and Charles Nelson Reilly like I did when I watched reruns as a child.

If it’s a game, you can count me in! I often host Bunco round-robins, hold Whiz Spades tournaments, and throw Mexican Train Dominoes events.  I am no emcee–I have to be in on the action and playing.  Games are great fun, whether spending family time together or as an added bonus to your dinner party with friends. Even drinking games like Never Have I Ever and Marry, Shag Kill are hysterical to play.

Which brings me to Marry, Shag, Kill (our version is Marry, Shag, Banish to an Island).

In my not-very-humble opinion, the way he uses his physicality, his mind-blowing precision as well as his incredible range collectively make Damian one of the best, if not the best, working actors that we have today. The evidence presents itself in the fantastic characters he brought to life in his acting career of more than two decades varying from WWII hero Major Winters to homeless William Keane to billionaire Bobby Axelrod. How Similar Are You to Damian Lewis? How Different Are You from Damian Lewis?

In close to six years that Fan Fun with Damian Lewis has been live, we have found out so much about Damian himself: His family background, his personal life, his interests, his vacations and what have you. And it is inevitable to think about yourself when you learn something new about your favorite star. “Oh, Damian is my long lost twin!” or “Oh, Damian should be my soulmate” or “OMG! How come he likes this?!?!” or “I cannot believe how different Damian and I are.”

Gingersnap and I thought it would be neat to turn those moments into a fun post. So we sat down and wrote about things each of us has in common  with Damian and a couple of other things that each of us is polar opposites of him.
