From Festivals to Sports to Charity: We Know What Damian Lewis Did This Summer :D

Happy Labor Day! It means this is the last chance for most of us to have one last long weekend before the summer ends. But it also means Billions Season 4 shoot is starting in New York, well, tomorrow!!!! It goes without saying we will follow the shoot to the best of our ability and write about our hopes, wishes and fantasies for Season 4 in the coming weeks and months.

But, today, we will talk about Damian’s summer, the second in a row he has enjoyed fully!

Damian constantly worked all summers between 2011 while he was shooting Homeland to 2016 when they were starting the Billions shoot in summer. So, when asked by a fan at The Goat stage door back in May 2017 about what he would be doing between The Goat and Billions, whose shoot would not start until September, he responded promptly: Continue reading “From Festivals to Sports to Charity: We Know What Damian Lewis Did This Summer :D”

Marry, Shag, Banish – Damian Lewis
Characters Version

It’s game time! Growing up I loved watching 70’s/80’s game shows. Remember these catch phrases?

“Come on down!”
“Survey says…”
“No whammies, no whammies, no whammies…and STOP!”
“I’d like to buy a vowel.”

And I’m in heaven with the recent revivals of Match Game, Celebrity Family Feud, and To Tell the Truth. I even DVR old Match Game episodes from time to time to watch my favorite panelists Brett Somers and Charles Nelson Reilly like I did when I watched reruns as a child.

If it’s a game, you can count me in! I often host Bunco round-robins, hold Whiz Spades tournaments, and throw Mexican Train Dominoes events.  I am no emcee–I have to be in on the action and playing.  Games are great fun, whether spending family time together or as an added bonus to your dinner party with friends. Even drinking games like Never Have I Ever and Marry, Shag Kill are hysterical to play.

Which brings me to Marry, Shag, Kill (our version is Marry, Shag, Banish to an Island).

Site Announcement – Fake Social Media Accounts: PLEASE READ!

Hello Damian fans! We wanted to take a moment to announce recent developments that have been brought to our attention. Several fans have reported that Damian Lewis imposter accounts have been created on both Instagram and Twitter. And while that generally is not cause for concern, as they have been harmless in the past, these recent accounts are asking for money or pretending you can win a prize.  Under no circumstances would Damian or his representatives ask for donations (West Africa project or otherwise), nor would they offer fans a chance for a live chat or money prize for posting your favorite Damian photo by tagging him. Please keep in mind that the ONLY social media account for Damian Lewis is on Twitter as @lewis_damian. His legitimately-endorsed fan site is at www.damian-lewis.com and the endorsed blog and team that runs both the fansite and the blog is here at www.fanfunwithdamianlewis.com.

Just remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you have any concerns, please report them to us here or on Instagram and Twitter at @FanFunDamian.

Kind Regards,
Fan Fun Team

Happy Birthday, Helen McCrory! TOP DOZEN Reasons to Love Her

“Actually, I’m looking forward to being 50, because to me that’s when a woman is at the pinnacle of her femininity and her womanhood.” —Helen McCrory in an interview with The Independent

It’s Big 5-0 for Helen today. Happy Birthday, Helen!

Here is our collective effort in throwing a birthday party for Helen on the blog. Enjoy!

It’s quite easy to figure out why Damian fell in love with his better half: Beauty, talent and brains, a rare combination, seem to have come together and stolen our guy’s heart. The couple has been together for more than a decade, married for eleven years and going as strong as ever. We wished them a Happy Anniversary more than a month ago here. Throwback Thursday to Damian Lewis as Gear Head on Top Gear

Damian Lewis, Top Gear

As folks are vacationing on all sides of the pond, let’s take a look back at summer 2016 when Damian made an appearance on Top Gear. Enjoy!

Boys and their cars. And girls too, for that matter. There’s something about being behind the wheel of a nice automobile, pressing the gas, shooting ahead with the force of however many horses, and letting a machine take you where your feet can’t. Damian made his second appearance on Top Gear in June 2016 and got to drive around a bit: recklessly, dangerously, at the sort of speeds humans probably weren’t ever designed to go, at least not unaided. Yes, no doubt, there’s a rush there, the burst of power and the addictive lurching feeling of hairpin turns at top speed, the balance between control and utter abandon. One small explosion in a combustion chamber to get things moving, then the lingering burn of the fuel made from our fossils, and we’re off to the races, quite literally. And for those few seconds of sheer joy, you sorta want to forget that these are the very machines that have summarily sent our planet on a not-so-slow burn. Alas, let’s keep this post about joy, and the joy of watching Damian play with cars. Read on!
